During this time the Intrepid participated in NATO training exercise Operation Strikeback. The Intrepid also participated in the study of wind effects on carrier launches during Atlantic and Caribbean Cruises) (In civilian life operated heating and air conditioning companies in Tennessee and Florida) (Editor: My first cousin)
